Not sure if this has been discussed here yet, but it's the top news on the homepage and it's my city. I've lived here for almost five years, and I'm just now realizing the truth in that claim. All my closest friends here are skinny. When I lived in Sacramento, all my close friends were chubby.
It makes sense. Can't really own a car because of parking issues, so you end up walking everywhere or riding a bike. Lots of hills.
But then you also gotta think how CNN got this data. Further reading into it, I find out that their data is collected by telephone surveys conducted over two years ago by the Center of Disease Control and Prevention. I wonder how many people omitted a couple of pounds here and there.
Anyone here from Marin County or San Francisco... what do you think?
