Dimensions' loiterer

I was watching "Dragon's Den" on CBC last night while catching up on ironing (*sigh* about the endless ironing!). Dragon's Den is a show with five wealthy investors, and each week a variety of people and groups come and pitch their company for investment, typically asking for some chunk of money and offering some portion of the company in return. There range from garage tinkerers with a better mousetrap type contraption to somewhat established companies.
Last night two SSBBW showed up, I guess they are the owners of "Maximum Woman" which is a store in Toronto, and by the sounds of it also sells through their website.

I missed the first part of their pitch, but I know that they were offering minority control of the company for an investment which they would use to fund further growth. They did get an offer from one of the Dragons, but it was for half the company. They decided in the end that they would turn it down and retain control, and one of the other Dragons suggested that they'd probably made the shrewd decision, suggesting that he thought the offer they'd been given was pretty good from the investment point of view.
Anyway, I know nothing about Maximum Woman or the quality of their clothes, but it is nice to see anyone offering alternatives in plus sized clothes. I hope that at the least this works as good advertising for them!
ETA: just figured out that you can watch the episode on teh web site: season 3 episode 5, they show up 38 minutes in. They originally ask for $250 000 and offer 25% of the company.
