I've been trying to figure out what size I am to buy some new clothes, and some of the sites say to measure the "natural" waist (vs. where I wear my pants...belly button height). My thinnest point on my waist is right below my ribs, but no way do I wear my pants there. Thing is, if I go by my measurements at my natural waist, I'm an hourglass...by belly-button height, I'm a pear. I have very little ass, so all this kinda has me confused.

Also...if I go by hip measurement, most sites recommend that I buy a size that's three beyond the last pants I've bought. I've gained a little but not nearly enough to account for three sizes.

Any thoughts, advice?
