I posted some time back about not being able to find my favorite chocolate bar anymore. The Caffarel 72% cocoa bar. Nobody had it anymore. Not Cost Plus, not Central Market, not Candylicious.

Well, DH and I were in downtown Houston last night and made a stop at Foodie Heaven (otherwise known as Spec's liquor and fine foods).

They had the freaking Caffarel chocolate bars! They had an entire *aisle* of chocolate bars and candy. Apparently Caffarel is not making the 72% cocoa blue label bar anymore, it is now 70% cocoa. But I cannot tell a difference at all in taste.

So, being the spoiled chocolate fiend that I am, Dear Husband bought be a half dozen of them. Now I can finish the one I have been hoarding since last February and have some fresh ones as I want them. Yes, pathetic me... I have been hoarding that lonely Caffarel bar for almost a year, breaking off tiny slivers when I really missed the flavor. ROFL!

The chocolate was the score of the night, but we also got some other goodies. Triple cream brie cheese to spread on warm bread like butter, some assorted bottles of booze for holiday cooking and entertaining, some good organic all natural vanilla wafers to make another batch of rum balls, and some other odds and ends that caught our eyes.

But yeah, who knew Specs had THAT much chocolate now? We spent almost two hours browsing the aisles in that place. The food section is the size of most neighborhood supermarkets. The whole place is immense.

Tonight, we go to Foodie Heaven #2. Central Market to pick up the rest of the things I need for holiday cooking and baking and some nice French bread to have the brie with.

After having sushi for Dear Husband and his friend's birthdays.

This week is shaping up to be total Foodie Bliss Week for me. Latin-Carribean fusion food Monday, Greek food last night, Foodie Heaven with chocolate satisfaction, Sushi, Foodie Heaven #2. AND rum balls!
