Alone again on a Saturday night. Another weekend of so many she'd lost count. Laying across her bed, watching the tube, munching on what remained of a bag of Glossett peanuts. It had been months since her and Rob had split up. She couldn't get him off her mind.
On nights like this one, alone and stuffing her face with anything tasty she could get her hands on, made her think of him even more so. Lying on her side, popping a few more peanuts into her mouth, munching away as if on auto pilot, she glanced down at her belly and exposed midsection between where her top should be and where her shorts had fallen to. Spilling onto the mattress, the rippled, stretchmarked flesh poured outwards from her. She patted it with one hand making it shake and quiver.
Scooping up half a handful of peanuts, she opened wide and filled her mouth again, her cheeks bulging with the shape of peanuts as she chewed. There were only a few left in the bag. Talking directly to her belly she said, "Okay, what's next? Popcorn or chips."
Looking lost in thought she remembered fondly how Rob would get her a re-fill or the next snack. Sometimes she didn't even have to ask. Her pouty lips and puppy dog eyes would tell him what she wanted.
"More please." She missed him so much.
Her belly looked pretty big, so did her legs. What thighs! Heck, everything about her was big. She had put on quite a few pounds while being with Rob. She didn't mind though, they were "happy pounds". Rob treated her like a princess. She was happy. Happy and fatter. It didn't matter that she was gaining weight. In fact Rob loved the extra rolls. This man was a keeper for sure. After dating for a couple of years, she mentioned if marriage was in their future and in a sudden case of cold feet, Rob was gone. She never understood what actually happened that day. They were apart, that's all she knew for sure.
