I got the following email from her today:

I am really concerned about your having so many cats. Did you check the association rules to see how many are permitted? Someone around here was arrested for keeping so many animals in her house. She went to jail and all the animals were taken away. We would hate to hear that something bad had happened to you. Would you mind checking on it. Some neighbor may figure this out. Please answer this email.
