Friday started like any other day. I got up, got dressed and drove to Oklahoma City.
I interviewed with a panel of 4. My friend Paula, the education coordinator, the HR director and a parent.
The interview questions were probably some of the best I've ever been asked. I was really impressed and I could tell I was winning them over with every answer I gave. None..I repeat NONE of those ladies should try a career in poker..lol
After the interview, they took me into a classroom that has a two way mirror to observe how I interact with children. That took about 5 minutes. I asked when I should know something and she said by the end of this week.
I took some time to go take a look at the place I found to rent..hopefully. I've taken some pics and I'll post them at the end of this post.
After touring the place, I get in my car and head south. About an hour later, I get a call from an HR rep and she said they want to offer me the position. I was excited. It's about 1,000 less than what I make now, but they offer full benefits and 12 extra days off. Right now, I only have pto and I have to use that for sick and vacation days. The 12 extra days are sick days..so yay!
My first day will be May 18th. My last day with my current job will officially be May 15th, but I have some days they owe me..so I'll be off the last week of my notice. YAY
So yeah..that's where I am right now. I live 10 minutes from my best friend and I'm so excited. We've already made plans for a weekly dinner night.
