What is the deal with myspace?
People, (maybe even me) have asked before..
I did a search here and still don't know what people think about it. I figured that myspace merits its own thread. Many people here have myspace pages.
If you have a myspace page, please tell me why.
I have asked around but as far as I can tell it is like having baseball cards? Is that so? The idea is to collect as many friends as possible?
I understand for musicians, it is great to get your name known. Is that the point?
For regular folk, unless you are looking to meet "someone" what is the reason for allowing people to "add" you?
I get people wanting to be my "friend" and I get the numbers of "friends" increasing... there are fans of celebrities out there.
For a while, I just wanted to collect the dead people... elvis, dean martin, judy garland... and then I wanted obscure musicians I like ...esquivel.. but now I am wondering what the point is.
The people that don't want you to see their profiles, what is up with that?
Does anyone understand this?
