I was just tuning into local news last night. Per Gov. Romney's precautionary orders, The National Guard is at Logan Airport due to a heightened terror alert in the U.S. I wanted to ask you guys and ladies flying out of Boston, Massachusetts after the events to let one another know (as I will be when i get there tonight) to check everything, including your carry-on. They said you'll only be allowed your passport/wallet/ID on board and those should be in clear Ziploc-type/plastic bags. Save yourself more time by not packing any liquids. They are searching all luggage, I believe.

Leave yourself some extra time to get your flight as well. At the very least, 3 hours before... just in case.

Also, this weekend is one of our tax-free shopping weekends in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I don't know how many of you are going to be shopping here but figure if you need to pick up some things, this will be nice to keep in mind. You can pocket that ... uh, what... like 5% that you'd normally pay to us. Um... Good to know in case you wanna bring something from MA home to your prospective states or countries.

Best of all,
Sharleen

Oh, P.S. I initially posted this in the thread about the thwarted terrorist plot this week, but figure it is way more appropo here. I hope you've all heard or see this so you can plan your packing accordingly.
