So who is subjecting their mind and body to this gauntlet in the coming weeks? And if you've done it in the past, what horror stories do you have of your time in the trenches?
This will be my first year. I have meant to do it for the last two, but two years ago I was still a student, and very much overworked as a result, and last year I was swamped by a rather huge book edit/production cycle and finishing up my masters thesis. This year I've got nothing impeding my progress save for daily job hunting and a confounding need for more than four hours of sleep a night, so this is it!
So anyone else out there feel like getting down, dirty, and crazy in a literary sort of way?
