Pleasantly abstruse.
Normally Jackie (my wife) does the cooking. She is an outstanding cook, while I am mediocre at best. Still, today it falls to me to cook a 2 lb. chuck roast. My normal reaction would be to toss it into the crock pot with some broth and spices and that be that. Today, though, I want to go beyond myself and bake it in the oven. I have nary a clue how to go about it. Seeing as I told Jackie I would take care of things, I need help!
Advice on cooking the thing properly is desperately needed, and any other ideas on preparation/spicing will be greatly appreciated.
