hey just wanted to see what you guys think of this poem
"Crystal Mystery"
broken like a shard of crystal carved by design
pieces of your soul scattered to the wind
not understanding what happened and why
never knowing where your masks start and you truly begin
cracked like your faith in what you thought was true
doubt reigns inside your heart like a storm that never seems to pass
stripped of truth your soul laid bare before you
what future was once limitless no longer seems so vast
torn like your heart so long ago
memories hidden inside your beautiful mind
wondering always if you will ever know
if what you feel is true or just another disguise
broken cracked and torn, flaws on the floor of our lives
but without those careful carvings no one would see the jewel inside
for a gem is just a rock torn from soil and dirt
to see the beauty of its crystal mystery you have to make it hurt
we cut away the past and leave its shards on the floor
we polish ourselves because we want so much more
letting life be our guide and love our fuel
turning a hunk of rock pulled from the earth into a beautiful jewel.
