Hey,
I recently moved to NYC, and I'm something of a burger fiend. (I used to live on the west coast, and worshiped at the altar of In-n-Out.) I'm looking for the best cheeseburgers that the city (or Jersey, even -- I'm willing to travel!) has to offer, and I figured that this board might be able to point me in the right direction.
I've tried looking at various dining guides, but I've always felt that they're better for overall food at a place, and much less reliable for specific items than advice/anecdotes from actual people. And besides, what I'm ideally looking for is an undiscovered, hole-in-the-wall kind of place, not a massive tourist destination where they charge 16 bucks for a mediocre hamburger.
So, anyone from NY/NJ know of a place that is really outstanding?
