Dimensions' loiterer
I feel a bit odd spamming the whole Canada board on this, but I figured it was more apt to be seen by those who might be interested than on the fashion board.
I just stumbled upon a small plus sizes (and maternity) boutique in Gatineau called Mode & Distinction (modedistinction.ca). It is practically around the corner from where I work, but I'd not wandered up that street recently--apparently it actually opened last Fall.
It is at 43 boul Montclair, (which runs along one side of Les Galleries de Hull), a block west of that mall (and of St. Joseph). Not a huge collection, but apparently largely from independent Canadian designers (although they also had plus sizes Calvin Klein jeans), and overall it looked fairly stylish but thing that you actually wear more than once or twice a year (i.e. not all cocktails dresses or the like).
They don't appear to be selling through their web site, so you'd have to go visit.
I don't have any association with the store, I just thought it seemed like quite a good little store, and would love to see it succeed, so thought I'd help give them some publicity.
