It’s almost inevitable: When women get together, the chatter eventually turns to whose skinny jeans don’t fit anymore and who weighs in heavier on the scale. And participation is socially mandatory, a new study finds.

So self-deprecation is the norm, simply because 51% of 124 females in the study thought one hypothetical woman would self-deprecate about her body?

Actually I agree with many points that are made in the article, but there are far too many generalizations and misconceptions here.

Studies with this many operative errors ought to be more flawed than this. Oh well, can't lose 'em all.
