Big article (front of the 'Life' section) in today's edition of the canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail. I thought it may be of interest to some on this board:

It says that services helping with transgender teens are seeing more and more coming forward, and at younger ages. Which certainly implies that the environment is changing in a way which lets kids realize that there is an alternative to the way they are and that things can change.
Also it mentions a conference going on currently, in Seattle, the "Gender Spectrum Family Conference." Doesn't say much about it, but I'd imagine more info would be available on the web for anyone interested.
