ok this slightly touches on a post made by curvyem sometime ago.

im not sure if anyone else has had the same experiences as me and it will be interesting to find out.

for those who dont know, as i am new, im about 280-290llbs, and a uk size 24. im also 6ft tall with piercings and bright red hair, and like to wear heels so i stick out like a sore thumb.

i get 2 main experiences everytime im in a nightclub.

the first involves men.

occasionally u get a guy who wants to chat u up and u tell him u have a bf and thats fine in fact thats how i met one of my best friends.
BUT sometimes u get creepy gropey touchy feely guys, who try to dance up on you, touch you, and grab at ur ass or boobs, then when u tell them to get lost, or that u have a bf, they become INCREDIBLY rude and offended.

i have had men say to me in the past, or at least insinuate that i am fat and should therefore be honoured that they want to talk to me or get with me and how dare i turn them down as as a fat girl i have no right to say no, and should (and i quote) "take what i can get"

???

the next experience i have A LOT, is a patronising, pitying attitude.
like ok i like to doll myself up, wear nice clothes, in my regular nite club i get up and dance on stage, talk to the dj, say hello to a lot of folks. the attitude i often get from complete strangers is something like " awk bless ya even tho ur fat ur trying, good for you, you show em girl" attitude!! now i know these ppl arent being mean, but like what the f*£!

its like the expect fat girls to be sitting at home in the dark dressed in a black tent and that if and when they do decide to go to a nightclub they usually decide to stay in the corner minding the bags and the drinks!!

ok this is just a wee rant, as the past 3 weekends i went out it has happened, i even had someone want to take a pic of me "cos i was fabulous" aka "lesser spotted fun fat girl"

rant rant rant i know lol forgive me
