Why am I not debating there? I'm debating elsewhere. For me, Dimensions isn't a political forum. I know I've posted on politics threads here before, but I eventually gave up on them out of disgust. Most folks seemed content to bash away at each other and not deal rationally with matters of substance affecting their positions on the issues.
And by "most folks", I'm not referring to anyone here. At least nobody I've ever drawn a picture of or given money to.
In the WLS area, discussion made sense there. That's a size issue. But immigration? Iraq? The Doha round? I don't think so. There's not enough time in the day to deal with politics here AND on www.newsvine.com . So I stick with the Newsvine site, as I don't get overwhelmed with new threads I'm not interested in over there.
Although I did just post an article there on abortion... I may change my tune, depending on the responses that article generates.
