The great white north, eh?
extracted from the alumni newletter from my university (specific names generally removed by me):

The University feeds and houses the equivalent of a small city. Nearly 29,000 students, faculty, and staff pass through campus daily, with more than 6,000 students living in residences during the fall and winter terms.
In the past year, Food Services has:
• squeezed 410,872 oranges to make 22,000 450 ml bottles of fresh orange juice
• served 887,238 litres of dairy milk and cream, 23,423 kg of french fries and 6,496 litres of ketchup
• used 40,500 kg of flour to bake 118,000 kaiser buns and more than 50,000 loaves of bread at the Village Bakery
• baked 105,120 muffins
• served 50,112 daily specials at the Chinese food outlet, 7,244 roast chicken dinners at B servery, and 419 kg of salmon fillets at the University Club
• poured 257,624 cups of coffee at the Tim Hortons outlet in the Student Life Centre

You have to think that with all that food, at least some of the students are gaining!
