I was just talking to a friend of mine and shes incredibly pissed off at her daughter's pediatrician.
According to the doctor, her 5 yr old girl is "obese" and needs to go on a diet. My friend was so mad!!! This sweet little girl is not even fat. She eats healthy (her mom is a health-nut), she does dancing and gymnastics, so shes getting her exercise. Why would the doctor label her as obese???
This really infuriates me! Last night the little girl didnt want to eat dinner because the doctor said she was fat and needed to diet. Luckily her mom is telling her to eat up.
Why does a 5 year old need to be on a diet? Shes still growing!!! And even if she was overweight, that is no way to go about it.
