I heard it on the CBC news.

Apparently, South African women are trying to become heavier, so that they won't look like they have AIDS/ HIV.

While at first glance, this may appear to be getting back to the days when being fat was equated with looking healthy, there is a darker undertone:



These women are doing this for the opinions of others, and not for themselves.​



Any thoughts?
