With all the people here who really pay attention to food, I bet we know we know all sorts of neat, random, food facts. And a lot of us would be interested in learning more neat, random, food facts.

I'll start: archeologists have apparently determined that anemia in europe declined when people started cooking with mostly iron pots/saucepans. Iron from the pots does get into the food.
