There is a mouse in my printer.

Not a computer mouse, a cute little gray pink-nosed thing.

WTF?

I heard a rustling noise from the printer tray, leaned down to look, and there was a little mouse looking back at me. He turned and jumped up INTO the bowels of the printer itself. I tried setting the printer outside for a while to let it run out, but it's below freezing out and I don't want to kill the printer (or the poor little mouse, wouldn't it freeze out there?) so I brought the printer back in just now, and I can still hear the mouse moving in it.

I live out in the boonies, so we do occasionally get these little mice but I love animals and could never kill one. In fact, when my hubby first met me, and came to my house, he thought I was insane because I had peanut butter crackers in my cabinets. I explained to him that I had seen a mouse and I didn't want it to come out looking for food and end up killed by my kitty. It made sense to ME. Anyway, now this same kitty is sitting on top of my printer, I don't know if the mouse is trapped inside or what, and I really don't know what to do.

Any ideas?
