I think the show is doing a great job of objectively showing how people could choose to be fat. The one part I especially find interesting is the discussion of "Chubs and Chasers" and how sometimes the bigger guy can feel like he's just a sexual fetish and not a person; I always wonder what it is like to be in the "other" person's shoes. I know from being objectified almost constantly that being seen only as a sexual object can be very difficult, but to already have such terrible societal prejudice AND be objectified must be incredibly painful.
Overall I think it's great that MTV is helping promote body size acceptance by showing larger people who love their bodies as well as increasing awareness of the fact that many times being "fat" is a conscious, healthy choice.
What do you guys think of the show?
