One day in Baltimore

I am going to be in the area in Mid October and thought I would take one Saturday to visit Baltimore, is there anything of interest to do in the area?? Doesn't have to be super touristy and I wont have a car, but I am thinking perhaps one day is the perfect amount of time for a walk around a neighborhood with eclectic/interesting shops, followed by lunch somewhere and maybe some attraction or historical location after that.
Any ideas/suggestions?
