So image this:
- A client has called you to install there IT assets into their newly build (major bs) office the day they want it done.
- Only thing brand new are the workstations (PCs)
- With software youve never heard of or encountered
- Oh, btw they are newly building it today (plumbing, electrical, carpentry)
- No Internet on site (Thank god for mobile browsing)
- Also, all the furniture and files and office supplies, are being moved in
- In an effort to cut costs, its all hands on deck, the entire office staff complete with doctors and nurses are moving stuff off a train of trucks
- A really fat guy trying to work.
Thats about the jist of it. There were various IT moments, for example when I did get Internet the Wide Area Network Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol servers werent serving my firewall their Domain Name System servers. Thus causing me not to be able to get to Google.com but if I typed in Googles IP address of 72.14.204.147 in the address bar I could.
Going back tomorrow to hopefully put this beast of a project down, once and for all!
