For many people, the distance two individuals stand from each other while talking is measured in terms of the space between the two people's faces.

What about for larger folks? Is it the distance between bodies?

Perhaps you're a person of size that has felt someone was intruding on your personal space because they were at a distance (from face to face) that would be appropriate for two thin people, but with you, this put them uncomfortably close to your body.

On the other hand, perhaps you have gained a significant amount of weight since establishing what you thought was a comfortable distance to stand from someone, but at your larger size, those people find you standing too close.

Any thoughts?
