I just recently started working at a gas station. This is like my third week. And already I'm beginning to question why I started it. I usually don't feel this way until a year into a job lol! But I'm wondering if a month is too early to quit a job?

I've never worked somewhere so under staffed, it's crazy. I was hired in as part-time because of college and stuff. And the other three workers are full-time because they're not going to college. Well, anytime they call in (That's a 75% chance against me) I'm supposed to come in. I'm supposed to wait by the phone ALL day when I have a "day off" apparently. Like, today I got yelled at for "screening my calls" by listening to the answer machine and then answering it. Which really, I didn't mean to do when my manager called this A.M. I had just woke up. And when the other employee called. I wasn't around.

These people call in at least ONCE a week. Last week I worked seven days in a row, and I'm labeled part-time!!! I have NEVER, EVER taken a day off on one of my three jobs that I've ever had. I've never seen something like it. You get a job for money, not for convienence.

So now today, I'm working 9 hours because it's supposed to be Lauren's day off and she would like to be able to do what she wants, sound familiar no? I wonder if I tried to call in, what would happen?

Oh and it's a bunch of chick employees that talk shit about each other. So, I don't really get to know them on a personal level other than Hi/Bye and what not. Women are vicious. lol Drama isn't my cup of tea.

I think I may quit, what do you think?
