I read about this today and was initially horrified but then like 'ugh, hypocrite'! I wear leather, I eat meat.

Then I also remembered when I was a kid, some friends had one of those paperweights with the giant spider preserved in it. My Gramma had a sea-horse preserved in some little clear thing that she got as a souvenir on a beach trip. (Similar to the one in the pic.)

Never occurred to me to bat an eye at those types of things... or the belt-buckles with the giant scorpions preserved in them.

But the piglet bank makes me sad. What's the deal with that? Maybe I'm really a hypocrite. =(

Are there "degrees" of animal rights?
