My Dad survived a Flash Flood that ripped through his home
Tuesday night in Pennsylvania.
He opened the door to see the water rising quickly, he turned around to put a leash on his dog, and tie it to his waist and there was two feet of water in his house. The stairs were gone, so he had to jump into the water.
It rose up to his neck. The neighbor reached for my Dad and my Father
lost his balance and went under the water. The neighbor grabbed Dad and Dad got to his feet again. (The neighbor grabbed the dog, too).
They swam to high ground, and drove the Neighbor's van up to the top of the hill, where they sat stranded until the next day, because there was water on both ends of the road.
They were able to get out yesterday and get to the High School where the Red Cross had set up a shelter.
My Dad's house was ripped apart and unfortunately he has lost everything.
He's staying with a kind stranger, and we're all very relieved that he's pulled through this devastation. (And his Dog, Pepper, too!)
Please send a prayer his way.
Thanks!
