What are the pluses and minuses of being fat. Although I am not that fat (BM I of 39.14 at 228 lbs) I will try and relate the pluses and minus for me.
Here are a few of my pluses ofr being fat.
1. I don't have to worry how much I eat. I still want to each healthy, so I make sure I get plenty of vegetables and fruits and do not simply fill only on ffried foods and junk (i.e. donuts), although I don't deny myself a treat once and a while.
2. There is "more of me" for my wife to hug. Since my wife is a big woman herself (somewhere between 280 to 300 pounds) I know the joy of hugging someone with more curves.
3. I can easily float when I go swimming. I do not have as great a risk of drowning as skinny swimmers.
4. In winter I have a bit of insulation which helps keep me warmer on those cold days.
5. I believe I look damn good in my clothes at my size.
My request for this thread is to make this thread also a picture thread. My favourite posts are the picture threads, Here is my picture proposal. I believe there are clothes that look better on a very large person, much better than on a thin person, e.g. many fat women IMHO look much prettier than a thin woman when they wear a pencil skirt. Can you post a picture of yourself wearing an outfit you feel looks much better on a fat person than a thin person. I would post my picture, but I do not have an appropriate one handy. I will try to get one in the next few days and post it.Now on to the negatives:
Negatives of being fat.
1. Sweating. This year I have noticed I sweat more than I did when I was thinner a few years ago. The increase in sweating is most noticeable when I am mowing the lawn.
2. Negative comments. This spring a young girl (about 7 or 8) walked pass me when I was in line at the food court at the mall. She commented, "You are fat!" Her mother heard the girl's comment and made her come back and apologize to me for ,aking the comment.
3. Underwear getting tighter. :blush::blush::blush:
4. Since I am short, 5' 4", I have to carefully adjust the seat in my car so I can keep my tummy from rubbing the steering wheel while still reaching the pedals.
Over the years, especially with the help of Dimensions and such size positive persons such as Cat, LnL, Heather, AM and many others, I have been helped to come to the conclusion that the positive aspects from being overweight, fat outweigh the negative aspects.
NEXT.
