BMI affiliated singer-songwriter Meghan Tonjes is a new artist on the rise. Newly signed to DFTBA Records, she has been twice featured on PerezHilton.com and with over 80,000 subscribers on Youtube, this Detroit-based artist is quickly gaining a cult following.

Armed with only her voice and guitar, she has managed to create stripped, acoustic versions of hundreds of popular radio hits (everything from Rihanna to Lady Gaga).

With her LP, Be In Want, Meghan fuses her addictive melodies and honest words with a stirring and soulful sound reminiscent of Sarah Mclachlan, Jason Mraz and Adele. Be In Want is a self-released, eco-friendly album that recounts the frustration and heartbreak of almost-loves in reverse: starting with the break-up and moving backwards to the initial crush.

Fresh off of her first northeast tour, Tonjes has shown she is the definition of a DIY artist.

In addition to her personal channel and web series, Meghan also heads a Youtube collaboration channel called Project Lifesize. Described as an "average-sized collaboration", the channel aims to start a dialogue about issues of body image, self esteem and acceptance.
