On Monday Stephen Colbert went to Baghdad's water palace to put on a week of shows care of the USO.
After watching scenes of Colbert's boot camp experience, General Ray Odierno appeared and declared that Colbert could not lay claim to have been through boot camp. "It's the hair," he said.
Shortly afterward, President Obama appeared on a screen, saying he had heard that Colbert needed a hair cut.
"Is your surveillance really that comprehensive?" asked Stephen.
"No," replied Barack, "but my ears are really that big. If you are going to play soldier, you need to look like one."
And with that, the Commander In Chief issued an official order, and the show ended with Stephen getting personally buzzcut by "Raymond for Men".
