All right.. I know i'm not the only one that enjoys an occasional game of paintball/airsoft. I just recently got into airsoft... It's not as fun to me as paintball, but it is still fun to me. Who else enjoys these activities (and the like)? I know it's not just Aris, GG's Brother, and I.

I just got back from a week in Wyandotte (The middle of nowhere), Oklahoma. I played in the world's largest paintball event... Or so they claim....
It was quaint. A lot of good and bad things...

Pros:
- The terrain was amazing. I've never played on such nice land. The hills, rivers, and foilage were enchanting.
- The outdoor channel was there!! You know what that means!! I might be on TV... I was one only Black Puerto Rican there :p I guess that's a pro and a con.
-The mini scenarios (the big game between the Allies and Germans being on Saturday, June 10) throughout the week were all aligned to historical battles. The variety was unexpected! One day the allies had to defend a base, and another day was an attack on a bridge while repelling a German invasion. Good times!!
- There were many vendors with items at lower prices. I got some pretty decent deals.
-about 4000 people showed up, and I made a few new friends.
-The battle on Saturday was intense!!! Paintball guns, mortars, grenades (and grenade launchers), Tanks, Anti-Tank guns all packed into an almost 8 hour game.

Cons:
- It was extremely hot the entire time. It rained only at times when we weren't playing, and Saturday hit 106 degrees with humidity. The morning games weren't too bad though. 160 people were given medical attention due to heat related ailments. It was so hot one day that one of my partners was stuck to the air mattress he was sleeping on in our tent.
- We were told that water would be available. It wasn't until about Thursday when drinking water was available. The only other choice was to take the water immersed in sulfur. The water was suppose repel the con below, but it didn't work for me.
-The insects conquered the land. I'm going to my doctor soon because three ticks got to me. One of them left a scar. I know it is highly unlikely that I get lyme disease (or any other disease), but I want to know for sure.
- The main food place was extremely over priced and the service was horrible. A partner and I ended up getting in a quarrel with one of the workers. We ordere tater tots.... and recieved mashed potatoes
- For the past 3 years the Allied army has won the main game on saturday. Last year the Allied Army ran the Germans into the ground. The tables were turned this year to the point that we couldn't possibly win. We were suppose to be equally matched, but the staff of D-Day went a little too far this year. The score was 400 to 3,050.... They kicked the living crap out of us. Alot of cheating was going on both sides too with the addition of unfair rules like tanks being able to "camp." The Germans had about 15 tanks while we had 7. They just surrounded the area they were to defend with tanks and we could never get by.
-Even though this has been going on for years, It is still a bit unorganized. It was easy for one to get lost and confused.

Mini Scenarios:
Monday- Rescue of Mussolini (loss)
Tuesday
Morning- The Rsing Sun- Battle in the Pacific (win)
Evening- The Eastern Front- Streets of Stalingrad (win)
Wednesday
Morning-Battle of Dunkirk (win)
Evening- Raid on Dieppe (win)
Thursday
Morning-Battle of Salerno (win)
Evening- Battle of Monte Cassino (win)
Friday- Civil War Style Scenario- The Germans automatically made themselves the confederacy (and they called us Yankees too :p ) (loss)
Saturday- Main Game: Allied Units (Americans, British, Canadian, and the French) Vs. The German Unit (loss)
Night Game- Loss
Sunday- Loss

Overall it was decent. It wasn't perfect, and I won't be going by plane again, but I think it was worth the money. I'll definitely be better prepared for next year. One of my friends is already trying to build a tank :p.
