On Space Out
I firmly believe that when more people vote (regardless of their party), we get a government that works better for everyone because it represents the will of a larger portion of the citizenry.
So, get out there, get registered, learn about the issues and candidates, and when the time comes, vote like it matters -- because it does.
Here's a non-partisan (or at least not very partisan) site with registration information: 866ourvote.org (link directs you to an interactive map with information).
It may take a bit of chasing down paperwork to get the needed ID, if you don't have it. Start now, before it's too late to make your voice heard.
And, if you are already registered, find out whether you are still registered and listed as an active voter. There's been a lot of noise about voter fraud, and some states have tried to deal with it by removing inactive or suspect voters from their rolls. In quite a few cases, they've also accidentally removed perfectly legitimate voters as well. Make sure you're not one of them!
Good luck. It's a bit trite to say it, but America is counting on you -- really.
