Here is a question I posed to some of the kids taking my lifeskills class and I thought it might be something others here might want to do as it might not only help you but others who read what you have to say. Try it out if you like either personally in your own journal or publicly here.
If you could give advice to yourself as a young person, what would you tell them?
Ruth
Here's mine.
I want you to believe in yourself. You are good enough just as you are no matter what others say to you or about you. They will love the real you if you just have the courage to let her shine through. It doesn't mean that you won't have lots of trials and tribulations in your life, cause you will. But what I also want you to know is that you are more than strong enough to handle anything that is thrown your way. The only opinions that matter are the opinions from people who truly love you and know you for they have your best interests in mind. If you keep that in mind no one will ever be able to play you small. Never be afraid to express your love, your opinions and fears. Life is too short. Live, love and laugh and take risks. Thats what life is about!
