The great white north, eh?
I’m looking for some quick feed back from those of you who have or are knowledgeable about intolerance to certain metals in jewelry.

The quick version is: would a lower grade of gold be OK for shorter term wear (things you’d wear on an evening out, rather than daily use).

The longer versions is: My wife told me back when we were first dating that she reacts badly to anything under 14kt gold. I’ve followed that guideline ever since quite happily. However I just saw the 2nd most perfect set of ear rings I’ve ever seen for her (possibly even 1st, but the muted lighting in the store made it hard to tell how much sparkle the sapphire had). But the silly things are made of 10kt gold. They are spendy enough that they’d probably be for special occasions only (the current champion on ‘most perfect earrings for her’ got worn pretty much daily, to great compliments, until one of them went AWOL….)
