I read the fine print on Torrid's home page about their BOGO sale with the free item being "of equal or lesser value, clearance merchandise only" and figured it was your standard buy two items of the same price and get one free deal.
But then I started adding items to my cart and realized something was up.... I picked out two tops at $30 each and two panties at $5 each and instead of getting one of each free, it was giving me the two panties for free. I checked the sale promo that is splashed across the top of the clearance pages and confirmed it said "Buy 1, Get 1 Free*of equal or lesser value, clearance merchandise only"
After digging around on their website for awhile, I found one promo where if you scrolled down far enough the fine print told another story..."Buy 1, Get 1 Free*...For this promotion, the items in your order with the lowest prices will be free. For example, when you buy any six items, you'll get the three lowest-priced items free......"
Why didn't they say that in all the obvious places they are promoting this sale! Were they hoping no one would see it? Torrid's marketing department doesn't seem to be playing fair these days.
