Ridiculous.
So on our school's campus we have "The Rock," a giant rock that is covered in paint 24/7... different groups on campus go and paint the rock at night with their colors/names/logos/letters/slogans and either "guard" it or make sure their message stays on there for all to see come sunrise.
My fraternity, as part of the pledge process, has our pledges paint the rock with our colors and letters, take photos, bond, and guard it until sunrise. It's a really fun time, and each pledge class does it once a semester close to initation day. Anyways... last night I accompanied our recent pledges to the rock and I saw something that made me smile. Apparently, the group that had come to paint before us HAD TO BE a size acceptance group because on the rock was painted, "Real Women come in all Sizes" and it had numbers painted all over the rest of it ranging from 2 to 28 (the lowest and highest I just happen to see). I was sad that my pledges had to paint over something so empowering, but it's S.O.P. Now I'm all curious to see if there's an SA group on campus... I'm going to have to check into that one!
