(I just posted this on another forum of which I'm a member, so if it looks familiar, that's why. I ain't no plaigarist. :p)

I work with some fellows who think nothing of "playing the field." Women are little more than tools for their sexual gratification. One of them even justifies his cheating by saying that his girlfriend "loves him," and she's not going anywhere anyway, so what's the harm in getting his rocks off elsewhere?

Just the other day we were at a job site and he started hitting on an attractive young woman. By the end of the day he'd pulled her number; she'd even written him a short note. Back in the crew van he proceeded to mock it; from the gist of the note she thought he was a good guy, and she'd love to get to know him better. He said, and I quote, "It's always nice to have sex toys when you're out of town." It was all I could do not to massacre the prick.

Others think nothing of smoking in the crew van, despite the fact that A) it's illegal, and B) it's disgusting. The driver has even said that if anyone complains about it he'd commit, shall we say, an act of extreme violence upon their person. "If you have a fucking problem with it, I'm going to fuckin' jail, because NO ONE HAS THE FUCKING RIGHT TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!!"

I only wish I was kidding about that last line.

Now, granted, I don't have to like my coworkers, which is great, 'cause I find most of 'em to be morally bankrupt assholes. But I am getting absolutely sick of the way they talk about women, represent themselves on job sites (FYI, I work for a moving company), disrespect company policy, etc.. It reflects poorly on the company, and, by association, me, but I'm in the extreme minority.

I honestly don't know what to do. It's rather obvious that I'm not cut from the same cloth as these neanderthals, and I have no desire to come to harm; many of them seem to think that indiscretions should be dealt with via a "Code of Silence." No one seems to give a fuck, and I don't think my supers have any idea what's going on when they're not around.

I suppose this doesn't have much of a point, but I just don't know what to think. Am I in the wrong here for actually having, *gasp* morals, or am I a relic? What the fuck has happened to our society that these folks are the norm, not the exception? It literally sickens me that I'm a part of this generation.

Thanks for reading. I just needed to get that off my chest.
