At 5:30 pm lastnight my mom took her last breath of air.

I made it there about an hour earlier in time to say good-bye.

She was a true inspiration and a hero. I know that sounds cliche BUT when you think of all she did for otehrs and myself she really was!
~Adopted 8 kids (inlucing myself when i was 5)
~became a single parent when I was 7 with NO support/contact at all after he left.
~6 of the kids adopted are special need and mixed races
~A foster parent as well right up til the end with over at LEAST 300 children through her doors.

AND THAT is just the beginning!

She was the young age of 58.

She had spunk~i mean she went with me and we got tattoos together when she was like 50! And as u see she didn't do the traditional "wig" after chemo...she wore funky scarves or beaded hats etc

This pic was taken in October 2004 just BEFORE the surgery that seems to take her down hill. She was having chemo for a few months prior to this.
