They were talking to the Mans brother, he was saying that the man went to the hospital several days prior, and he was describing what sounded like ulcers on his feet that were severly infected, and added that his legs were black (I assume necrosis). he went on to describe what appeared to be complete incompetence at the hospital, unfortunately I missed the rest of his story..
