I read something tonight that pissed me off more than you can imagine.
Wayne and I have attended several Big As Texas events and Wayne belongs to their yahoo group so I read the postings there from time to time.
I went there tonight to read and was sad to hear one of the people who attends BAT regularity is very ill and in fact terminal and it is only a matter of time.
One person on the list asked is a Pastor or Minister was visiting her regularly and was told by a family member that the Priest (or whatever he is) was banned from seeing this woman again as he told her:
"fat people can not go to heaven."
I AM OUTRAGED BY THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since when did god say - fat people can't come to heaven???? Is god a fat phobe???
Several women on this list are trying to get this person fired.
I'm flabbergasted by this. That in a time when someone needs comfort and counsel - she gets more fat prejudice.
