I may not get this entirely correct, but, in Conrad's absence, I'll try to 'splain some stuff.
Conrad's central AC at home went belly up this weekend. With the extreme temps in CA the past few days, technicians are backlogged in service calls. He may be out right now trying to locate a window unit (or two or three) to buy (good luck with that) and install, as I believe they said it could be as much as a week before they could get out to his house. I think he said his pool temp was 93, so swimming didn't provide much of a relief; neither was a cold (read tepid) shower. His home office was 100+ (or was it 93? I get the pool and office temps mixed up) at mid-evening when I chatted with him last night.
As for the domain thingy, he was in the process of finding a better home for Dimensions prior to renewal when they cut the site off with no advance warning. So he simply renewed the existing service because, well, as you can read, he has other, more immediate things to tend to right now.
So--send ice! And no whining!
