Hi ya'll.....
I am NOT the sponsor or in any way related with the direct internal planning of this event. However, as a big girl and big supporter of big girl curves, I thought I would just pass the info on to you. I think it is always best to get as many people in a rally in a public place; and one especially where it is a positive thing that might capture positive media and/or political attention, and just plain ol' darn good fun.
The low-down: Be there by 11am, wear some form of pink, brings your friends, Romans, and country women. According to the meeting I attended today, you are welcome to make signs saying something positive like "Love My Curves;" "Love Your Curves" or something to that effect. In no way should you put any thing offensive, negative, or such on any sign you make. This is to be a positive rally of plus-size women showing support for their curves during fashion week. I know not everyone in fashion supports are curves-- but if we do-- why not show are support for every one of those lovely curves!?! I always look at it this way, the more positive you are, the more positively people respond.
I will, however, most likely be there with a camera! Some things never change.
I did not access a list, nor do I have one comprised. You all where in my address book, and I thought you might like the info, or would be kind enough to pass it on/BLOG it, etc. Please pass it along to your friends/lists/ anyone you think might be interested.
And yes, I went to the meeting. Check out www.missnycplus.com for more 411.
Worry not, because I will NOT be sending a reminder or forwarding your info to any one else.
Should you feel you received this email in error, I humbly apologize. No worries, as it is the only one I'm sending. I will also humbly state that this is my first BCC, so if I did something incorrectly, my sincere apologies.
If you plan to attend, come say HOLA.
Many thanks. Hope to see you there!
