Woe is me... my 18 year old "work horse" Sergemate Serger has finally bitten the dust. My backup Kenmore serger has a messed up right looper so it's only marginally useable as I have to constantly fiddle with the tension dial and keep rethreading it.
I'll probably just get myself a cheapie basic serger this week and put the Kenmore in the shop and maybe see if the Sergemate can be salvaged to pass along to a friend who would only need it on occasion.
Bad timing, as I have 6 skirts cut out and a stack of fabric to make six tops for summer waiting to be cut out.
Blah. Well at least I got two skirts serged and one 3/4 of the way serged last night before the Sergemate serger bit the dust. I can finish the third by coaxing the Kenmore along.
