no longer slackin'
My beloved Salvation Army shoulder bag ($5, brown leather, small but roomy, stylishly oldschool), which I've been keeping alive for several years with an awl and thread, has finally disintegrated beyond my ability to repair it .
So I'm looking for a shoulder bag that's got enough of a bike-messenger feel not to be mistaken for the dreaded "murse." Ideally it'd be big enough to hold a book or two, daily planner and iPod, plus pencils, change, chapstick etc., but be small enough that I can easily stow it in the lockers at work.
I'm in love with the Timbuk2 Metro, which is exactly what I'm looking for, but it's out of my price range. Can anyone recommend an affordable alternative?
