A good friend of mine told me that he’s thinking of joining up, which got me thinking about it again.
In my eyes there is no greater job than to serve, in any capacity. I would gladly give up my daily comforts to join.
Many people would/will tell me its stupid and this country sucks, blah blah.
But to be in a position, where your value is not based in a paycheck but in your merit, your word, and honor. Things that you have 100% control over, where nothing is given, its earned.
There is no greater honor for me, but alas due to a back injury when I was 12 I’m forever blacklisted from joining, which has been the cause of depression in the past, and like tonight I relapse.
I’d do anything to be able to sign my name, to join, to become everything and more.
Has anyone had this passion? were you unable to b/c of injury or weight?
