Maybe this has been done before, but I've been wondering lately what songs I'd put on my personal Soundtrack. The songs that sum up a place, a time, a person, a feeling, a state of mind, and so on throughout your life? Or, just the songs you like the most out of all the songs out there?

Or, what would the mood music be? I'm partial to Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D- (that is the creepy organ music one, yes?) or Beethoven's fifth. Maybe a little night music a la Mozart?

It would be wonderful if you all might share your soundtracks. I was going to say to limit it to 12 songs, but I ended up going to 15, which would still fit on a CD-R.

Here are my fifteen, with no explanation (feel free to include more information in your lists, if you'd like):

1) “Crucify” Tori Amos
2) “Raspberry Swirl” Tori Amos
3) “There is a Light that Never Goes Out” The Smiths
4) “Sunglasses at Night” Corey Hart
5) “Who Can it Be Now?” Men at Work
6) “Heart-Shaped Box” Nirvana
7) “Galileo” Indigo Girls
8) “Gigantic” Pixies
9) “The Hard Way” Mary Chapin Carpenter
10) “Fall at Your Feet” Crowded House
11) “Blackbird” Beatles
12) “Dreams” Fleetwood Mac
13) “You Shook Me All Night Long” AC/DC
14) “Blue Sky” Patty Griffin
15) “Rowing Song” Patty Griffin

Only gentle criticisms, please! This list is subject to change, but as of right now, it seems appropriate.
