Hello folks, long time no see!
i have a couple of quick questions for those in the crowd who do a lot of long distance telecommuting between Canada and the US. I'm currently in a very very good relationship with the most amazing woman on this planet. The only catch is that there's some distance between us - namely I'm in BC and she's in LA. For the past month we've been using Skype to talk (me using Skype from my laptop to call her cell phone). Well she got her phone bill today and it was NOT pretty. I won't go into details but suffice it to say we gasped.
So my question is what is the deal? On the Skype site it says that if you have purchased unlimited calling you can call from your computer to any cell or land line for free - so who is it free for? I thought by me calling her with Skype that she would not have any cost and nor would I. Has anyone else dealt with or tried this in any way? Any help would be great!
